FBDown respects the rights of creators. We do not host, store or index videos: every file is fetched on request from Facebook’s or Instagram’s own servers, and only when it is already publicly available there. The most effective way to remove content is to report it to the platform where it is published.

If you believe FBDown is being used to infringe your copyright, we will act on valid notices – for example by blocking specific URLs from being processed.

How to send a notice

Email [email protected] with the subject “DMCA notice” and include:

1. Your name, address, phone number and email.
2. A description of the copyrighted work.
3. The exact URL(s) of the content (the Facebook or Instagram link) you want blocked on FBDown.
4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
6. Your physical or electronic signature.

We normally respond within 3 working days. Repeated or abusive false notices may be ignored.
